Knife River, a branch of Capital Credit Union, is non-profit, member owned and directed, dedicated to providing cost effective services, promoting member education, fostering community participation, while seeking to maintain long term financial stability.

• How to Join

To become a member of Knife River, a branch of Capital Credit Union, come into one of our locations and visit with a Member Service Representative. They will make opening an account an easy, pleasant experience.

To open an account, you must:

Meet membership eligibility and bring a picture ID.
Have your social security number available.
Bring a minimum of $25.00 to deposit into your share (savings) account.

Knife River, a branch of Capital Credit Union, is dedicated to providing its members a lifetime of dependable financial service. Once you join the credit union, you may retain your membership for life-even if you retire, change employment, or move away.

Protect your Financial ID! ID Theft

It only takes a few seconds to become a victim of financial fraud, but it often takesmonths to recover. Armed with discarded credit cards receipts, checks, or deposit slips, today’s crooks are making unauthorized transactions from victims’ accounts, and even opening new—fraudulent– credit card and checking accounts.
Here are some tips to prevent your identity from theft.

Examine all your financial statements
Limit the paper trail. Use a shredder!
Guard your purse or wallet wherever you go
Protect you personal identification number, (PIN)
Beware of phone scams
Always open and check your mail
Protect yourself online
